The city of Ceuta, due to its location on the Strait of Gibraltar, where the waters of the Atlantic and the Mediterranean meet, is an ideal stopover for cruise ships sailing to the Mediterranean or along the Atlantic coast.
The port of Ceuta has two cruise terminals: «Muelle de España» and «Muelle de Poniente».
Port of Ceuta. Cruise ships dock on the east side of the Muelle de España (shown in blue).
The main quay is located on the east side of the «Muelle de España», it has a quay length of 300 meters and a draft of 9 meters, which allows the mooring of vessels of great length and draft. This Terminal is located just 100 meters from the city center, very close to the main monuments and the commercial area.
The Poniente quay has a quay length of 525 meters and a draft of 10.5 to 9.5 meters.
From the cruise terminal, all tourist attractions are very close, just a few minutes' walk away. There is also the possibility of hiring excursions with multilingual guides.
The great multicultural heritage of Ceuta, located a few meters from the cruise ship pier, makes Ceuta an ideal tourist destination for cruise ships.
